Black Friday 2026 Car and Garage Gear: What to Buy and What to Skip
A listing-based guide to seven car and garage products for Black Friday 2026 (Friday, November 27): what each one suits, which stated limits to check first and when to skip it. It lists no prices or event dates.
Short answer
Buy the gear whose listed limits match a job you already have, and skip whatever you cannot match to your own engine, battery, outlet or circuit. On this list that means the NOCO GB150 jump starter, the NOCO GENIUS5 charger, the AstroAI AIRUN H inflator, the OBDLink MX+ scan tool and the VIOFO A229 Pro dash cam when their stated limits fit your car, the Fanttik Slim V8 APEX for small interior jobs, and the ChargePoint HomeFlex only if you have an EV and a 240V outlet with a 14-50 receptacle. Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27, 2026, but this guide lists no prices and no event dates; the live price on each Amazon page is the only number to go by.

Roadside power and battery care
NOCO Boost GB150 3000A UltraSafe Jump Starter
Per the listing, this is a 12V lithium jump starter with 3000 amps of peak power and up to 80 starts per charge on engines up to 9.0L gas and 7.0L diesel. The listing also names spark-proof and reverse polarity protection, a power bank for phones and tablets, a 500-lumen LED light with 7 modes including SOS and strobe, and an IP65-rated housing. The box holds the jump starter, clamps, a charging cable and a storage bag.
Suits: a driver who wants spark-proof connections and an engine limit stated in liters, which is easy to check against your own engine. This amps-by-engine chart helps with the arithmetic.
Skip it if your engine is larger than the listed 9.0L gas or 7.0L diesel, or your vehicle is not a 12V system.
NOCO GENIUS5 5A 6/12V Smart Battery Charger
Per the listing, the GENIUS5 is a battery charger, maintainer, trickle charger and desulfator in one, designed for 6-volt and 12-volt lead-acid batteries (AGM, Gel, SLA, VRLA) and lithium-ion (LiFePO4). It says a thermal sensor adjusts the charge to ambient temperature, that it can charge from as low as 1 volt (or from zero volts in Force Mode), and that it can stay connected indefinitely. The box holds the 5A charger, a 72-inch AC cable, an 80-inch DC cable with battery clamps and eyelet terminals, a mounting bracket and a 3-year warranty.
Suits: anyone with a car, mower or boat that sits between uses. The listing says you can leave it connected indefinitely. This guide to battery maintainers for winter storage walks through the setup.
Skip it if you need to start a car right now. It is a charger and maintainer, not a jump pack, and its AC cable means it needs a wall outlet nearby.

AstroAI AIRUN H Tire Inflator Portable Air Compressor
Per the listing, the AIRUN H is a 12V DC inflator that plugs into a car's 12V outlet with 15A fuse protection. It lists a 120W motor, a backlit display showing real-time and preset pressure, and a 3-button control for choosing a target in PSI, kPa, Bar or kg/cmΒ², after which it stops on its own. The listing adds an LED light, a 9.84-foot cord, a weight of 2.2 lbs and a 2-year limited warranty. The kit includes 2 air nozzles, a needle valve for balls, a Presta-to-Schrader adapter, an extension hose and a spare fuse.
Suits: a driver who wants to preset a pressure and walk away, and who also tops up bike tires or balls, since the kit lists the fittings for both.
Skip it if you want to inflate pool floats or air mattresses (the listing says it is not designed for high-volume inflatables) or need long continuous runs: per the listing, auto shut-off comes after 15 minutes of continuous use, with a 10-minute cool-down period recommended.

Dash cam and diagnostics
VIOFO A229 Pro 4K HDR Dash Cam
Per the listing, this is a front and rear dash cam with a 4K front camera and a 2K rear camera, built on dual STARVIS 2 sensors (IMX678 and IMX675) with HDR on both. It lists 5GHz Wi-Fi with a phone app, a quad-mode GPS module, 12 voice commands, loop recording with an emergency lock, a CPL lens on the front and a built-in supercapacitor. Three parking modes (Auto Event Detection, Low Bitrate and Time Lapse) are named, with a buffer that stores 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after a detected event.
Suits: a driver who wants both ends of the car recorded, with location, speed and timestamp data to review in the VIOFO app or on a computer.
Skip it if you will not buy a few extras. The listing says no SD card is included and that the HK4 Acc hardwire is not in the packing list. If you plan to wire it in, this fuse-tap hardwiring guide covers the method.

OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner (iPhone, Android, Windows)
Per the listing, this Bluetooth adapter turns an iPhone, Android device or Windows PC into a scan tool. It recommends the adapter for FORScan, Torque, BimmerCode, Dashcommand, AlfaOBD, Carista and more, names enhanced OEM support for Ford, GM, Mazda, Nissan/Infiniti, Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Honda, Hyundai and Kia, and says it can clear the check engine light and read live parameters such as ABS, SRS and TPMS. It also lists over-voltage and battery drain protection and included firmware updates.
Suits: someone who already uses one of those apps, or wants to, and whose car is one of the named makes.
Skip it if you want a standalone reader with no phone or PC involved, or you cannot confirm your vehicle. The listing itself says to check its troubleshooting guide for compatibility and features before purchase.

Cabin and garage
Fanttik Slim V8 APEX Cordless Car Vacuum
Per the listing, this is a 4-in-1 mini vacuum for vacuuming, blowing, inflating and vacuum sealing, with an 80000rpm brushless motor, 19000Pa of suction and 10 accessories: a crevice nozzle, flexible hose, push-in brush, multi-surface brush and pet brush. The listing gives runtime as up to 40 minutes in Eco mode and 13 minutes in Max mode, a full Type-C charge within 2.5 hours and a weight of 1.1 lb (498 g).
Suits: small interior jobs and pet hair, the uses the listing mentions.
Skip it if you want full-size suction. The listing's own note says this compact vacuum "is less powerful than larger models", and its high-speed runtime is 13 minutes.

EV charging at home
ChargePoint HomeFlex Level 2 EV Charger (J1772, NEMA 14-50)
Per the listing, this is a Level 2 charger with a J1772 connector "for all non-Tesla EVs" that plugs into a 240V outlet with a 14-50 receptacle, requiring a 40A or 50A circuit. It says the charger is UL-certified, can be installed indoors or outdoors by an electrician and includes a cold-resistant cable, and the ChargePoint Mobile App handles control, reminders and smart home connections. For Tesla EVs, the listing says this will require an adapter.
One figure needs a second source. The listing says the charger delivers "up to 45 mi/hr., dependent upon your vehicle". ChargePoint's own Home Flex page gives a lower number for its NEMA 14-50 plug option: "Delivers up to 40A of power (30 miles of range per hour)", on circuits it describes as "rated 40 or 50A." The two sources give different figures, so treat the charging speed as unconfirmed.
Suits: an EV owner who already has, or is ready to have an electrician install, a 14-50 receptacle on a 40A or 50A circuit.
Skip it if you do not have an EV yet, cannot add that circuit, or drive a Tesla and do not want to buy an adapter.

What to check before you buy, and what to skip
Settle the fit first, then check the current price on Amazon.
- Match each stated limit to your own number. Engine size for the GB150 (9.0L gas, 7.0L diesel), battery voltage and chemistry for the GENIUS5 (6V or 12V; lead-acid or LiFePO4), and the circuit for the HomeFlex (a 14-50 receptacle on a 40A or 50A circuit).
- Read the "not included" lines. The A229 Pro listing says no SD card and no HK4 hardwire come in the box, while the GB150 listing names clamps, a charging cable and a storage bag.
- Check compatibility before the event, not during it. The OBDLink listing tells you to use its troubleshooting guide first, and the ChargePoint listing says a Tesla needs an adapter.
- Skip a tool whose listing rules out your job. The AstroAI is not designed for pool floats or air mattresses, the Fanttik is less powerful than larger vacuums, and the GENIUS5 is a charger and maintainer, not a jump pack.
- Treat a figure that two sources disagree on as unconfirmed. The ChargePoint charging-speed numbers above are the example.
FAQ
What car and garage gear is worth buying on Black Friday 2026, and what should I skip?
Worth buying is whatever matches a job you already have and whose listed limits fit your vehicle: the NOCO GB150 or GENIUS5 for battery trouble, the AstroAI AIRUN H for tire top-ups, the OBDLink MX+ and VIOFO A229 Pro if your car and phone fit their listings, and the Fanttik for small interior jobs. Skip any item whose stated engine size, voltage, outlet or circuit you cannot match, and skip the ChargePoint HomeFlex unless you have an EV and a 14-50 receptacle.
When is Black Friday 2026?
Friday, November 27, 2026. This guide gives no Amazon event dates and no prices; the live price on each product page is the number to go by.
Which of these needs something else bought or installed first?
Per the listings, the VIOFO A229 Pro comes with no SD card and without the HK4 hardwire, and the ChargePoint HomeFlex can be installed by an electrician on a 240V outlet with a 14-50 receptacle and a 40A or 50A circuit. The GENIUS5 comes with an AC cable, which implies a wall outlet, and the AstroAI plugs into a 12V outlet.
Do any of these work with a Tesla or an iPhone?
The OBDLink MX+ listing names iPhone, Android and Windows. The ChargePoint listing says its J1772 connector is for non-Tesla EVs and that a Tesla needs an adapter.
